Catherine’s interest, experience and leadership with coastal real estate is extensive. She was born on Hilton Head Island and raised on St Simons and Sea Island where she learned to appreciate the delicate balance between man and nature along our coast, and to realize the importance of protecting the places she loves.

With a BA in Psychology from Emory University and a Masters in Environmental Studies from the College of Charleston/Medical University of South Carolina, Catherine worked for NOAA as a Coastal Planner before being hired as the founding Executive Director of the St. Simons Land Trust. For the next 20 years she worked as a dedicated leader in conservation both here and in the Charleston area. This has given her a unique perspective on coastal land values which serves her well in the real estate market.

Integrity and determination are values that Catherine exemplifies in real estate as well as all aspects of her life. She is a graduate of Leadership Georgia (Class of 2005), Land Trust Alliance Leadership Program (Class of 2016), and SC Diversity Leadership Riley Fellow (Class of 2018). She is a member of the St. Simons Presbyterian Church and serves as the Chairman of the M.K. Pentecost Ecology Fund of the Savannah Presbytery. She is a member of the National Colonial Dames, the Cherokee Garden Club, and the St. Simons Cotillion. When not helping clients, she enjoys outdoor activities and landscape painting.

Catherine places importance on spending time with family and close friends. Her parents live nearby at Marsh’s Edge, a retirement community on the island. Her daughter, a Wofford College graduate with a Masters from Clemson, works for an accounting firm in Charleston and sails professionally in her spare time. Her son, an accomplished sailor and graduate from Sewanee-University of the South, works for Outward Bound in New Zealand.
Catherine listens to her clients’ needs and uses her expertise and creativity to identify properties that are a good match for their wants, needs and pocketbooks. She is deeply committed to her clients and will strive to ensure a smooth and successful real estate transaction.
